View on Map →These gardens were laid out around Porto's original Crystal Palace, an iron-and-glass exhibition hall built for the 1865 International Exhibition. That original structure was demolished in 1951 and replaced in 1956 by the dome-roofed arena now known as the Rosa Mota Pavilion. The grounds are free to enter, home to a resident flock of peacocks, and one of the city's favourite spots to watch the sun go down over the Douro.

Beside Casa da Música, a short walk from the gardens.
Café inside the gardens themselves.
