About Gaia Cable Car

The Teleférico de Gaia opened in 2011 to save visitors the steep walk between the upper deck of the Dom Luís I Bridge and the riverside quay below. The roughly 600-metre ride takes about five minutes and links Jardim do Morro down to Cais de Gaia, right in the middle of the wine cellar district.
